Profile: Senator Goni Modu Zanna Bura is a postgraduate Diploma holder in Public Administration from the University of Abuja. An astute politician from Yobe State who has served the country in various capacities. He was Local Government Chairman between 1988 and 1989, Acting Commissioner, and Deputy Governor of Yobe State from 1992 – 1993. Ambassador Goni was a Senator representing Yobe State Zone B from 1999 – 2003 where he served as Chairman Senate Committee on Poverty Alleviation. He also served as Board Chairman of the College of Education, Zuba, and member of APC Committees on Gubernatorial and State primary elections. Senator Zanna Bura was appointed Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to Lebanon in 2017 and reappointed in 2020 by President Muhammadu Buhari.
